    Judge Comment: The library check-out story in particular has nice regional context on an issue many reporters are covering. All stories have good scene-setting and interesting ledes that set the tone for the stories.

    Judge Comment: All three stories brought in good context surrounding these education topics, including particularly the author of one of the removed books in the sexually explicit book story.

    Judge Comment: A good variety of voices were included, particularly in the bilingual literacy story. The bilingual literacy and library literacy stories both had interesting ledes that prompted me to read further.
